Screw Fall Fashion, I'm Already Worried About Spring
I already had an eyeful of this during Spring and Summer. I don't want to see it this year coming up. I'm not a big ladies' fashion expert, but I am a man and as a man...you look pregnant! If you are single/married and don't want guys hitting on you, I don't see any other reason to buy these "boob drapes." It doesn't make you look cute, it makes you look knocked up. A chauvinist comment, I know, but at least I'm being honest. Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks like this.
This reminds me of the time I had a friend who was pregnant and was bonding with another pregnant woman she met in line at checkout. She was being cute when describing how she got pregnant by saying, " I don't know how it happened, I guess it's just something in the air." My response, without missing a beat, "Yeah, your ankles."

No, you're not the only one who feels this way. I've always thought these dresses looked completely stupid, along with those empire-waist dresses. You know, the ones that are cinched just below the bustline that all the women wear in those Jane Austen movie adaptations? I've always thought that dresses like these make women look pregnant--even the super skinny ones. Bravo!!!
I sorta disagree, that is a pretty good picture, it allows the eye to mentally follow through on lines that start at the legs and go upwards, sort of like the new Honda Accord or BMW with their fastback trunks.
Ah screw it, here's a link that explains what I am talking about: http://www.2blowhards.com/archives/2007/10/copycat_car_sty.html
It took me a while to see what he was talking about.
Looking at the Accord and the BMW, visualize a curved line flowing from the rear window to the tail light. The trunk looks added on and out of place. Subtle, just like this dress.

I missed part of the link....
anyhow, once you see it, you see it. Sort of like those horses in those pictures.
Ah, a clever retort, very good. But, since you opened the car door, allow me to scoot through.
On your blog you have the green '53 Chevy truck(of which, I am a fan of). On that truck, there is a spare tire in the middle, a classic touch. My point, it may look good on the vehicle, but a spare tire doesn't look good on anyone, just the truck.
I appreciate your insight, I'm still disturbed at fashion designers. That was a very unique perspective.
If you weigh more than 90 pounds, they also make you look fat. Seriously.
Yes, reminiscent of a muumuu, which to me symbolizes giving up on life. Remember when Homer Simpson started wearing a muumuu? Methinks nobody should ever aspire to look like Homer. Especially not women.
