What about the other Madeleine McCanns out there?

I'm probably going to be called an asshole for saying this but, Why is there such a big fuss just over Madeleine McCann? What about the other economically middle or lower class children who are missing? What about the Black, Hispanic or Asian children? Where's their news coverage? Am I the only one who finds this disturbing? I just turned over from CNN earlier after hearing yet again about how there is no leads, the child in the picture wasn't her, yada yada. No disrespect to the family, but come on already. This is very similar to the JonBenet Ramsey case (also a tragedy). You know I thought about putting a picture of Madeline up for reference, but then I thought, what about a picture or two of other missing children of different backgrounds. Problem is, which do I choose? If I do choose, in a sense, I become as bad as the media cirus.

How many kids are missing just in the Ozarks that we never hear about?

Minority children who are missing are extremely under-represented by the media. It is awful.

I never understood why the American media was making such a to-do over Maddy McCann. JonBenet Ramsey, Elizabeth Smart, Natalie Holloway (a teen, I know, but still relevant to the point) were/are all American victims.

Was this just a chance for world media to dogpile on Portuguese law enforcement? WTF?

Don't get me started. I think I posted about this very same subject recently.
